This policy explains how Easy Event Map ("we," "us") handles information when you use easyeventmap.com.

Your maps and files stay on your device

Floor plans you open, the maps you create and the event details you type are processed in your own browser. They are not uploaded to our servers. To let you pick up where you left off, your current project is saved in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on your device. You can remove it at any time with the "Start over" button or by clearing your browser's site data. Project files you download are saved only where you choose.

Map and search services

To show maps and find places, your browser connects directly to these services. Like any website, they receive standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type:

• Esri (map imagery and street maps): your browser requests map tiles for the area you view. See Esri's privacy statement.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim (place search): the search text you enter and, for "use my location" or auto-filled addresses, map coordinates. See the OSMF privacy policy.
• Photon by komoot (backup place search when there's no exact match): the search text you enter and the approximate center of the map you're viewing. See komoot's privacy policy.
• Overpass API (road names for auto-written directions): the approximate location of your venue, only when you click "Auto-write directions."
• cdnjs (Cloudflare): provides the map, PDF-reading and PDF-writing code libraries.

"Use my location" asks your browser for permission first. Your location is used only to move the map and is not stored by us.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit, for security and performance.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, using a Google-certified consent message.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
